Micheline Dionne, BSc, RPT, Therapist/Owner

Micheline Dionne is a registered physiotherapist and owner of Synergy Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic. She attended the University of Ottawa and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. Over the years, she has taken several advance training courses in the areas of manual therapy, shoulder treatment, back treatment, diagnosis and treatment of muscle imbalances, clinical application of elastic resistance, exercise balls and balance trainers, and acupuncture.

Micheline’s professional career and experiences have taught her that education is a key element in the healing process, and she therefore strives to spend a lot of one-on-one time with her patients. It is necessary that patients understand their injury so that they may play an active role in their recovery and achieve their treatment goals faster.

Micheline is committed to providing the highest quality of professional care. She believes in promoting health and wellness by emphasizing an active lifestyle.

Lianne Davies, BSc, RPT

Lianne Davies is a physiotherapist and joined the Synergy team in April 2009. She graduated with a Bachelors in Medical Rehabilitation in 2008 from the University of Manitoba. Lianne continues to take courses to ensure up-to-date and effective assessment and treatment. She has experience in orthopaedic, cardiac and neurological rehabilitation.

Lianne can assess and treat various conditions such as neck and back pain, stroke recovery, muscle strains, sprains, shoulder impingement and is willing to assist in the development of a conditioning program. Treatments she utilizes include modalities (Ultrasound, T.E.N.S, Interferential Current, Muscles Stimulation), mobilizations and individually tailored exercise programs.

Lianne looks forward to helping you return to your activities of daily living and increase your capacity to enjoy life to its fullest. She enjoys soccer and ringette and lives close by in Kars.

Devon Cave, BA, RMT, Member of the College Of Massage Therapist of Ontario (6 years)

Devon accumulated 2,240 Hours in the Massage Therapy Program at the International Academy of Massage. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She graduated her Massage Therapy Program with honours in 2004 as class valedictorian, and in addition received several achievement awards.

Devon has joined the Synergy team with 5 years of full time clinical experience and she is dedicated in aiding her clients to achieve health and wellness. Devon can perform various genres of massages, including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, swedish, and hot stone.

She specializes in treating back and neck pain, pregnancy, assistance with postural corrections, relaxation, repetitive strain injuries and more.

Debbie Holmes, Office Manager

Debbie has been a resident of Kemptville for 18 years and has been working in customer service for over 20 years. She enjoys assisting people with their health care needs.

Dr. Martin Herzan, B.Sc., N.D.

Martin attained his B.Sc. degree with Honours from York University in 1996. He was the 1997 class valedictorian during his studies to become a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. Martin took post graduate training in Bowen Technique at the Bowen Academy of Australia.

Martin is a member of the Canadian Naturopathic Association, and was involved in the development of Elements – a 21st Century Health Care Clinic in downtown Toronto. He also established Brockville’s first and only full time Naturopathic Clinic in 2001 with special interests in hormonal health, chronic pain, digestive disorders and immune challenges.

Martin is an active presenter numerous community groups and publications, including the Nursing program at Queens University, the YMCA/YWCA Passport to Wellness Programs and the Better Bones Program in conjunction with the Osteoporosis Society of Canada.

Martin has had articles published in Backpack Magazine and writes a weekly column in the Prescott Journal and Brockville Observer on naturopathic medicine, preventive health and general strategies to support wellness.

Dr. Herzan resides in Brockville with his wife, 2 daughters, African Basnenji dog and 4 free-running chickens.

Daniel Brazeau, RMT

Daniel graduated Everest College in 2010 and is now a Registered Massage Therapist. Daniel has completed over 400 hours of hands on massage in student clinic and outreaches and over 2,400 hours of training in anatomy, physiology, and pathology. This gives him great insight to the human body and the vast connections that exist with-in the body. Daniel is also a Certified Personal Trainer and combines his love of health, exercise, and massage to create a unique treatment for his clients.

As a student, and a professional, Daniel always wants to learn more information about an injury or pathology, this keen interest has benefited his patients whom receive some of the most current information and treatment. He uses several techniques such as Swedish Massage, trigger point therapy, myofasial release, joint mobilization, passive stretching, and deep tissue massage.

Daniel has experience working with sports injury, chronic pain, and children with disabilities. He is a personable and passionate therapist who believes in treating each patient according to their own unique needs and wants.

Daniel believes that in order to achieve the best results, the patient must play an active role in their own recovery. He looks to treat the root of the problem to provide long term resolution while addressing symptoms for immediate relief.
